Biography

Before being called to the Bar, Ken Forrest was a solicitor in private practice for over 21 years.  He is currently a member of the Equality Commission's Panel of Advocates and specialises in various aspects of discrimination law, particularly immigration and asylum, as well as employment law.

• O v Secretary of State for the Home Department (2010) SLT 1087 (refusal of fresh claim for asylum)
• KBO v Secretary of State for the Home Department (2009) CSIH 30 (refusal of claim that family / private life would be violated)
• S v Secretary of State for the Home Department (2011) SLT 297 (refusal to release person from detention)
• S v Secretary of State for the Home Department (2010) SLT 334 (refusal to interview applicant for asylum)
