Posted: May 7, 2008
On 1st May 2008 Murray Stable licensing counsel Scott Blair appeared in the first judicial review brought under the new Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. He acted for the Scottish Beer & Pub Association and members of the trade. The petition related to the policy of the Glasgow Licensing Board on whether there required to be a personal license holder on the premises at all times when alcohol is sold. Scott was instructed by Lindsays WS along with Rory Anderson QC. The petition brought about a recognition from the Board that no such requirement was imposed under the Act.
