NEWS: Launch of Public, Administrative & Human Rights Law Practice Group

Posted: June 17, 2008

The newly formed Murray Stable Public, Administrative and Human Rights Law Practice Group marked their launch with a very well attended introductory seminar held in Edinburgh on the evening of Thursday 29 May 2008.  The event provided the attending solicitors, academics, visiting law students and devils with the opportunity to learn more about the group and to meet informally with its members and clerking staff.  The event qualified for one hour of CPD and included a very practical talk by Jonathan Mitchell QC and Ailsa Carmichael on their 10 do's and don'ts on planning and running a judicial review case.  The seminar paper can be viewed by clicking here.

Group co-ordinator Derek O'Carroll said:  "The level of interest in the event was such that the number of people wishing to attend outnumbered the places available.  However, those who missed out this time will be pleased to hear the group will be running more seminars later in the year."
