The Murray Stable is pleased to be joining up once again with the Aberdeen Bar Association for an event on their 2010/11 CPD programme. On Thursday 17 March two members of the Family Law Group (FLaG) will travel to Aberdeen.
Janys Scott QC's talk is called "No Place to Hide? The implications of M v M and the W Trustees Limited".
Kirsty Malcolm, Advocate, will give a presentation on "Cohabitant's rights in 2011 - how far have we come in 5 years? A review of s.25 to 29 of the Family Law (Scotland) Act 2006 considering procedural issues and matters of interpretation".
Both are very experienced family law practitioners. Janys is described by Legal 500 as "out on her own when it comes to both financial provision and child law" while Kirsty is described in the same publication as "extremely knowledgeable on cohabitation issues and has a down-to-earth manner that works well with clients".
Aberdeen Bar Association is the representative body for practitioners in the Aberdeen area and has been providing monthly CPD events to members for many years. All CPD events are held at 6.30pm at Aberdeenshire Cricket Club on the second Thursday of each month unless otherwise advertised. ABA also organises various social events for the local bar throughout the year.
For this event, a special one-off rate for non-members of £5 is payable on the night. To reserve your place please contact Julie Greig on JHGreig@paull-williamsons.co.uk
In order to attend two or more events in the 2010/2011 programme, full membership is required - please visit www.aberdeenbarassociation.org for details.
