The Murray Stable Family Law Group (FLaG) has announced a Scotland-wide Roadshow commencing on 23 January 2012. The Roadshow will encompass a series of CPD talks to local bar associations from Dumfries to Aberdeen and points in between.

The first event is in Dumfries on Monday 23 January 2012 and will comprise:

  • Ross Macfarlane ("Noted expert in the field of family law" - Legal 500), will present the talk; "Family Law: The Practitioner's Guide to the Most Important Cases of 2011".  This will be a comprehensive review of the most important cases of the year. Previous events presented by Ross have sold out and early booking is recommended.
  • Rosemary Guinnane (who acted as Leading Counsel in the Supreme Court proceedings) will speak to "Father's Rights and Responsibilities before the Supreme Court: the implications of K (Principal Reporter v K & Others [2010] UKSC 56) for practitioners, parents, Reporters and any other relevant persons".

Further FLaG events this spring are scheduled for Aberdeen, Glasgow and West Lothian in February and March. Future FLaG speakers will be Alison Wild (Relocation), Kirsty Malcolm (Cohabitation) and Desmond Cheyne. Further details will be announced on our website soon.
