The newly formed Murray Stable Public, Administrative and Human Rights Law Group marked their launch with a very well attended introductory seminar held in Edinburgh on the evening of Thursday 29 May 2008.

The event gave attending solicitors, academics, visiting law students and devils the opportunity to learn more about the group and to meet informally with its members and clerking staff.

Attendees earned one hour of CPD and the seminar included a very practical talk by Jonathan Mitchell QC and Ailsa Carmichael on their ten do's and don'ts on planning and running a judicial review case. Their joint paper can be viewed via the link below.

Group co-ordinator Derek O'Carroll said "The level of interest in the event was such that the number of people wishing to attend outnumbered the places available.  However, those who missed out this time will be pleased to hear the group will be running more seminars later in the year."

More information about the group and its members is available at www.murraystable.com/special-interest-groups/public-law-group
