Conference: The "In Secure" Child

The Murray Stable Family Law Group (FLaG) in association with the Scottish Child Law Centre presented a conference on secure accommodation. The conference on 30 March 2009 was chaired by Sheriff Brian Kearney and focused on the experiences of young people. Dr Josie Williams of the Glasgow Centre for the Study of Violence, Glasgow Caledonian University presented her research findings. Janys Scott QC and Mhairi Richards QC, both of Murray Stable, presented the legal context and explored legal issues. Morag Driscoll, Director of the Scottish Child Law Centre, addressed the issues of policy.
