NEWS: Appointments Update

The first quarter of 2010 has seen a number of members taking up new appointments:
- Scottish Government Legal Directorate confirmed the appointments of Lorna Drummond and Donald Cameron as standing junior counsel
- Andrew Webster has been appointed as legal assessor to the General Teaching Council for Scotland
Lorna previously held this post before taking up the position of Crown Counsel with the Attorney General's Chambers in Ascension Island from 2007 to 2009. Lorna returned to the Scottish Bar in January 2009 and continues her wide ranging civil law practice, particularly in the areas of public, planning and commercial law.
Donald called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2002 and to the Scottish Bar in 2005. He has a broad civil law practice with particular experience in employment law and interests in agricultural, crofting and environmental law.
Andrew called to the Bar in 1992 and has been a standing junior counsel to the Scottish Government (Ministry of Defence) since 1997. His new appointment with the GTC broadens his experience in all areas of civil law, particularly public, commercial and heraldic law.
