NEWS: Derek O'Carroll appointed All-Scotland Floating Sheriff

Murray Stable pass on their collective congratulations to stable member Derek O'Carroll who has been appointed by the Queen as an All-Floating Sheriff, based in Edinburgh. Derek is likely to take up his appointment in July.
Derek called to the Bar in 2000 and joined Murray Stable in 2003. He has had a successful practice specialising in public and administrative law, housing/landlord and tenant, employment law, human rights, education law and information law. He was appointed part-time Sheriff in 2006 and has been a part-time convenor of several tribunals since 1999. He has also been a pro-active member of the Stable speaking at many events and seminars and taking on the role of Convenor of the Public, Administrative and Human Rights Law Practice Group which formed in 2008.
