The Murray Stable is proud to recognise that all 9 of their senior counsel receive mentions in the recently published 2011 edition of Legal 500 UK.
The Civil liberties, human rights, public inquiries, public and administrative law (including local government) section includes Jonathan Mitchell QC, the "unflappable" Mungo Bovey QC, Ailsa Carmichael QC, Alan Summers QC "intellectually one of the most able seniors at the Scottish Bar", Simon Collins QC and Lorna Drummond QC.
Ian Truscott QC remains one of the "foremost employment lawyers at the bar in Scotland".
Janys Scott QC, "a force to be reckoned with" in family and childcare, is said to be able to "assimilate a vast amount of information in a very short period of time".
Iain Mitchell QC is described as "an admirably fine writer and speaker" on IT & IP issues.
Jonathan Mitchell QC and Alan Summers QC also receive mentions as "key commercial litigators" in the Commercial Litigation section.
Juniors at the stable also continue to be well represented. Andrew Webster is credited in the public law category and Richard Aird, who heads up the stable Commercial & Insolvency group, makes his first appearance. Chris Marney provides "sound and pragmatic employment advice". Iain Artis earns recognition for his tax and intellectual property expertise and the "extremely sharp" Scott Blair is listed for the second year running for his "considerable experience in liquor licensing work". The family law group is particularly well represented this year and includes Kirsty Malcolm who takes a "calm considered approach", Ross Macfarlane, who handles education cases, and recent addition to the stable John Speir who is "exceptional in court".
Practice Manager Iain Murray says "These listings are testament to our strength in depth and reflects the stable's outstanding expertise right across its four core areas of Public & Administrative, Family, Employment and Commercial & Insolvency law".
