The Murray Stable is delighted to welcome three new members to the stable’s specialist Family Law Group, FLaG.

Before she came to the Bar, Alison Wild was a solicitor in private practice for 16 years, specialising in family law. Between 1991 and 2001, she was regularly involved in cases in the Court of Session and Sheriff Courts in all aspects of family matters. In 1998, she was accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a CALM mediator and in 1999 as a family law specialist. From 2001, she worked in the Cayman Islands where she was admitted to the Cayman Islands Bar. She established a family law practice there and appeared frequently in the Grand Court. On her return to Scotland in 2003, she continued to work as a family law specialist, principally practising in the sheriff courts. She was elected onto the Family Law Association Committee and was Treasurer between 2005 and 2007. Between 2004 and 2009, she was a Peer Reviewer for the Law Society of Scotland. She received a Faculty Scholarship for the year 2007/08 and now practises in a wide range of family related issues and has conducted a number of proofs and appeals.

Andrew Gibson called to the Bar in 2009. He has been instructed in a variety of family law, employment law and personal injury matters. He also spent some valuable time working as part of the Vale of Leven Hospital Inquiry Team. As a former local authority solicitor Andrew gained extensive experience in the areas of Child Law, Employment Law, Housing Law, Mental Health Law and Environmental Protection Law. Andrew has a Masters in Medical Law and is now studying part-time for a PhD at the University of Glasgow. His research takes in a broad range of issues relating to Family Law, Human Rights and Medical Law.

Clerk and Practice Manager, Iain Murray, says, “The addition of these outstanding family law practitioners to the stable greatly enhances the strength in depth of the matrimonial, child and family portfolio which FLaG, the Murray Stable Family Law Group, can offer and we are delighted to welcome these new members”.
