NEWS: Murray Stable Updates

Posted On: 09 December 2008

It has been busy period for the Murray Stable recently.

We are delighted to welcome seven new members transferring from other stables.  John Mundy, Andrew Devlin, Morag Jack and David Macleod all strengthen the senior junior end of the stable and join Mhairi Richards QC, Rosemary Guinnane and James Murphie who joined the stable last month.  Practice Manager Iain Murray says, "These new members vindicate our policy of developing special interest groups within the stable and have been attracted by the programme of events sponsored by the Public, Employment, Family and Commercial & Insolvency sub-groups within the stable.  There is no doubt that greater specialisation in these disciplines is market led and is the way forward."

The Stable is pleased to recognise the appointment of founder member Valerie Stacey QC to the Bench in January 2009.

The senior membership of the stable is strengthened by the taking of silk by Ailsa Carmichael and Alan Summers who are both recognised for their expertise in public law and appear regularly for the Advocate General.

This completes a busy couple of months which sees the stable well placed to meet the challenges of the coming year in a difficult climate for all.
