NEWS: Part-time Sheriff appointments for Simon Collins QC and Andrew Webster

Scottish Ministers have today announced their new appointments to the office of part-time sheriff.
Included in this announcement are Murray Stable members Simon Collins QC and Andrew Webster, Advocate, who were recommended by the Judicial Appointments Board for Scotland and have taken up the new appointment.
Simon Collins QC took silk earlier this year and called as an Advocate in 1995. He specialises in public law and human rights and has acted in many of the leading Scottish cases in these areas in recent years.
Andrew Webster called to the Bar in 1992 and practises predominantly in public law, professional regulation and property disputes. He has been a Standing Junior Counsel for the Advocate General for Scotland since 1997 and is a legal assessor to the General Teaching Council for Scotland, the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the General Medical Council.
Both Simon and Andrew take up their new roles alongside their existing practices. They remain available for instructions.
