NEWS: Roadshow travels North to Aberdeen & Inverness
Posted On: 27 October 2009
Following a successful stop in Dumfries in September, the Murray Stable Commercial & Insolvency Group Roadshow is now heading North. Events will be held in Aberdeen and Inverness on 29 October and 23 November respectively.
The Roadshow aims to bring together advocates who are regularly instructed in a wide range of insolvency issues and other professional groups from all parts of Scotland. The theme is co-operation between professions in the insolvency field and stems from an invitation by local insolvency professionals to meet growing demand for specialist legal advice and advocacy in this highly topical area of law.
For the Dumfries event the Roadshow teamed up with leading accountants Armstrong and Watson. Brian Johnstone of the firm's Dumfries office said "We very much welcomed the opportunity to have the Murray Stable here with the two professions working together in areas of commercial and insolvency law."
Richard Aird, convenor of the Commercial & Insolvency Group commented "The object of these events is to provide straightforward and practical guidance on areas which are increasingly likely to arise in practice. The stable's Commercial & Insolvency Group comprises advocates of every seniority who are regularly instructed in this area and have a real understanding of the special requirements to which this gives rise."
The event in Aberdeen is being organised in co-operation with Maclay Murray & Spens and the Grampian Area Insolvency Group.
