NEWS: Scottish addition to update of Commercial Litigation: Pre-Emptive Remedies

Posted On: 05 March 2009

The latest update of Commercial Litigation: Pre-Emptive Remedies confirms this publication as the leading work for practitioners on commercial pre-emptive remedies for all parts of the United Kingdom.  Earlier editions were confined to English remedies such as freezing and search orders.  However, to reflect the increase in cross border litigation involving all parts of the UK and EU the publishers, Thomson Sweet & Maxwell, have extended the scope to include Scottish pre-emptive remedies such as arrestment, attachments and inhibitions, as well as the Scottish system of the recovery of evidence.

Richard Aird is the author of these new sections and also contributes an International section which centres on Article 31 of the Judgements Regulation.  Richard is also the co-author of Scots Dimension to Cross Border Litigation: Greens Sweet & Maxwell, as well as numerous articles, some of which appear on this website.
