Joe Bryce and Piya Muqit of the Murray Stable, in conjunction with the Glasgow Immigration Practitioner's Group and the Scottish Refugee Council, will be providing a half day training course on 5 June 2009 entitled "Representing Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children."

This event, the first of an ongoing programme, is aimed at those who wish to improve their knowledge of the case law, legal process and welfare provision for unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASCs).

Piya Muqit, Advocate, Murray Stable, and Legal Officer, Refugee and Migrant Justice, has extensive experience in the field, both in terms of casework and delivery of training.

Kirsty Gemmell, Senior Solicitor, Ethnic Minorities Law Centre, and Fraser Latta, Partner, Hamilton Burns, will respectively examine local authority and Home Office policy and practice in Scotland.
